BGOF and “Variant 5” will be the organizers of the 3rd round of the men’s and women’s World Cup in MTBO 2022 and the 2022 Orienteering World Veterans Championship!
Over the weekend, at its online meeting, the International Orienteering Federation nominated Bulgaria to host this major roundabout event. SCO “Variant 5” prepared the application for the competitions already in the fall of 2019 and we are extremely happy that our region will be the first organizer of international competitions in orienteering for Bulgaria. In addition, we hope that this will have an extremely positive effect on the development of country orientation.
What’s more, Variant 5 is host to the upcoming 2020 National Orienteering Championships, where individual sprint and long-distance starters, for the first time in Bulgaria, will earn points for the International Federation’s WREs.
